Smart Sensor Device Firmware Download Browse
Step 1: Navigate to the following link on your Windows OS PC or laptop:

Step 2: Click the hyperlink associated with the Layer N Smart Probe (SP-0XX) that will be updated.
Step 3: Download the latest .hex file for your Smart Probe.
Note: You may access the .txt file to view the changes this version of the firmware provides.
Step 4: Open the Omega SYNC configuration software on your Windows OS PC or laptop.
Note: SYNC can be downloaded for free on the Omega website.
Step 5: Connect your Smart Probe to your PC or laptop running SYNC configuration software using a Layer N Smart Interface
such as the IF-001.
Note: Refer to your Smart Probe specific Quick Start Guide for additional instructions on how to connect your Smart
Probe to SYNC.
Step 6: Once your Smart Probe is connected to SYNC, click the Device Settings tab on the SYNC interface.
Step 7: : Click the Firmware Update button and select the recently downloaded .hex file from your PC File Directory.
Note: If you would like to save previously Logged Data from your device as a .csv file, you may choose to do so prior
to the firmware update.
The "Save Device Logged Data" option is checked by default. It is important to note that
updating the firmware will delete the logged data unless it is saved as a .csv file.
Step 8: Initiate and wait for the update to complete.
Step 9: Once the firmware update is complete, you may disconnect your Smart Probe device.
